Whether you are a first-time registrant or an established trader, GST Notice Reply in Valasaravakkam deserves a specialist rather than a side job. From Rs.2,999, our GST-focused Chennai practice runs the entire process on written checklists and senior-reviewed submissions.
We serve businesses on and around Kanagasabai Street — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Valasaravakkam has shifted from farmland to apartment blocks, and promoters, interior contractors and building material suppliers now work alongside supermarkets and clinics on Arcot Road and in Alwarthirunagar. Works contract taxation drives most disputes here: the 18 per cent rate on contract services, blocked input credit on construction under Section 17(5) and GSTR-7 TDS where contracts involve government bodies. Years of working in and around Valasaravakkam have shown us where GST trouble actually begins here — supplier defaults, classification doubts and deadlines lost in busy trading weeks. Our GST Notice Reply is built to close precisely those gaps, and the same team supports businesses in Virugambakkam and Alwarthirunagar, each with one point of contact and a compliance calendar maintained on their behalf.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
From filing the LUT in RFD-11 at the start of each financial year to preparing RFD-01 refund claims with complete annexures, we know what makes a refund file move. Exporters and inverted-duty businesses come to us specifically for this.
Send your query on call or WhatsApp and you hear back the same working day, usually within a few hours. When a due date is close or a notice has landed, waiting two days for a reply is simply not acceptable, and we know it.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Valasaravakkam compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
Your cash ledger, credit ledger and liability register are reviewed regularly, not just at filing time. Excess balances are flagged for use or refund, and where a genuine slip surfaces, a voluntary payment through DRC-03 settles it before it can mature into a notice.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Valasaravakkam business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
Whenever the GST Council notifies a late-fee waiver or an amnesty window for pending returns or old demands, we check every client's history against it and act within the deadline. Relief that businesses in Valasaravakkam would otherwise read about after it lapsed reaches our clients in time.
We read the notice line by line, identify the section invoked, the periods covered, the exact information sought and the deadline for response.
The figures alleged in the notice are reconciled against your filed returns, GSTR-2B and books, so the reply is grounded in verifiable numbers rather than assertions.
We draft a professional, point-wise reply addressing every allegation, attaching reconciliations, invoices and legal support, and share the draft with you for approval.
The approved reply is filed on the portal within the deadline. Where a small genuine liability exists, we advise payment through DRC-03 to limit interest and penalty.
We monitor the portal for the officer's response, attend to any further queries or hearing dates, and pursue the matter until a closure or order is received.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: Draft reply in 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Systematic GSTR-2B matching and supplier follow-up mean input tax credit that was leaking away under self-filing is captured each month, directly reducing the cash you pay out with every GSTR-3B.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
Statutory windows such as thirty days for an ASMT-11 reply are tracked from the day a notice arrives, so responses go in on time, complete, and with your best case properly presented.
Rates, reverse charge, place of supply and blocked credits are applied correctly at the preparation stage, so you neither overpay tax you do not owe nor underpay and invite demands with penalty later.
Loan applications and government tenders routinely demand GST returns and registration documents. With everything filed and archived properly, you can produce a complete compliance file within hours instead of days.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
Kanagasabai Street is a secondary arterial road in Valasaravakkam, about 1.3 km south-east of the centre of Valasaravakkam. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Erikarai Salai (about 300 m); Kamarajar Salai (about 350 m); Thiruvalluvar 1st Street (about 750 m); Bazzar Street (about 900 m) — so a site visit on Kanagasabai Street can usually be combined with other work in Valasaravakkam on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Kanagasabai Street falls under the Chennai South CGST Commissionerate, and the Valasaravakkam pincode is 600087.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.
A working knowledge of recent instruments and judgments is what separates a defensible filing from a risky one.
50th GST Council Meeting, New Delhi — 11 July 2023 · 2023-07-11
The 50th GST Council meeting decided that online gaming, casinos and horse racing would be taxed at 28 per cent on the full face value of bets or chips purchased, without distinguishing games of skill from games of chance. The Council recommended amending the GST laws to include online gaming and horse racing as taxable actionable claims. The decision reshaped the economics of the online real-money gaming industry and triggered large retrospective demand notices on gaming companies.
How we apply it: Any Chennai business operating or facilitating real-money games must register, charge 28 per cent on deposits and expect close departmental scrutiny of past periods.
P. Karuppaiah v. State Tax Officer (Main) — Madras High Court (Madurai Bench), W.P.(MD) No. 18967 of 2022, decided 22 August 2022 (M. Nirmal Kumar J.) · 2022-08-22
The registration was cancelled for non-filing of returns during the pandemic without giving the dealer a personal hearing. The Madras High Court quashed the cancellation as a breach of natural justice and reinstated the registration, observing that no useful purpose would be served by keeping such taxpayers outside the GST regime. The dealer was directed to file the pending returns and pay tax with interest and penalty within forty-five days, with safeguards on the use of input tax credit.
What to do about it: Cancellation carried out without hearing you is challengeable, and Tamil Nadu courts have consistently preferred bringing dealers back into the system.
Notification No. 13/2017-Central Tax dated 28.06.2017 · 2017-06-28
This notification fixed the rates of interest under the CGST Act. Interest on delayed payment of tax under section 50(1) is eighteen per cent per annum. Interest where credit is taken in excess or output liability is reduced in excess under section 50(3) is twenty four per cent per annum. Interest on delayed refunds under section 56 is six per cent per annum, rising to nine per cent where the refund arises from an appellate order.
Practical effect: Every interest computation in a Chennai demand notice or refund claim runs off these rates, and the eighteen and twenty four per cent distinction is frequently worth contesting.

Upload the PDF to our free GST Notice Analyser. It identifies which of 34 notice types you have, pulls out the DIN, GSTIN and tax period, reads the reply date printed on the notice and tells you plainly whether that date has already passed — along with the documents and reconciliations you will need. No payment, no account. If the notice does not state a date we can read, it says so rather than guessing one for you.
