Our consultants provide GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing to businesses across Egmore starting at Rs.749. Every file is reconciled and senior-reviewed before submission, which is why our clients see far fewer departmental queries than they did while self-filing.
We serve businesses on and around Basha Avenue — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.

Every locality in Chennai has its own commercial rhythm, and Egmore is no exception. Egmore's economy runs on its railway terminus: hotels and lodges on Gandhi Irwin Road and Kennet Lane, restaurants, travel operators and medical suppliers around the Government Museum and Pantheon Road. Hospitality operators here wrestle with GST rate slabs on room tariffs, restaurant supplies without input credit, and TCS reconciliation on bookings received through e-commerce travel platforms. Our practice has shaped its GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B Monthly Filing work around exactly these realities, serving clients in Egmore as well as Chetpet and Vepery. Registrations, returns, refunds and notice replies are handled by one accountable team, with fees fixed in writing before work begins and every filing reconciled against portal data before it is submitted.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
No filing leaves our desk on a junior's judgement alone. A senior GST practitioner reviews your figures, ITC claims and tax computation before submission, so errors are caught at our table and not by the department months later through a notice.
If a query, ASMT-10 scrutiny notice or DRC-01 arrives on a return we filed, we stand behind our work and help you draft the reply. You are not left alone with a departmental letter and a thirty-day clock ticking against you.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Egmore. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Egmore business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
If your GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B start drifting apart, if a large supplier stops filing, or if your turnover approaches the e-invoice threshold, we flag it to you immediately. Early warnings from our side are cheaper than departmental letters later.
At month end we remind you and collect sales invoices, purchase bills and credit notes in whatever format you maintain, including Excel, Tally exports or scanned copies.
We prepare invoice-wise outward supply details, validate GSTINs of your B2B customers, summarise B2C supplies and file GSTR-1 on the portal before the 11th.
We download your auto-drafted GSTR-2B, match it against purchase records, and claim only eligible input tax credit so that mismatches do not trigger scrutiny notices later.
We compute net tax payable after ITC set-off, share the working with you for approval, and generate the payment challan for any cash liability.
After your confirmation and tax payment, we file GSTR-3B before the 20th and send you both filed acknowledgements along with a one-page summary of the month.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.

Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
You know your expected GST outflow days before the 20th, not on the night of filing. That advance visibility lets you plan payments, collections and bank balances instead of scrambling for funds at the deadline.
Statutory windows such as thirty days for an ASMT-11 reply are tracked from the day a notice arrives, so responses go in on time, complete, and with your best case properly presented.
Tax positions, rate choices and credit calls are documented as they are made, so if a question arises years later, the reasoning and evidence are on file rather than in someone's fading memory.
Because monthly data is reconciled as it happens, GSTR-9 preparation before the 31 December due date becomes a review exercise rather than a painful reconstruction of twelve untidy months.
Advances received for services attract GST on receipt while advances for goods generally do not; applying this distinction correctly means you neither prepay tax unnecessarily nor omit a liability that surfaces later with interest.
Whether moving between composition and regular scheme, opting into QRMP, or crossing the e-invoice threshold at Rs.5 crore, transitions are planned in advance rather than discovered after a compliance breach.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Registration and amendments | Query-resistant applications prepared correctly the first time, with supporting documents matched to what proper officers actually verify. | Repeated clarification memos and resubmissions, with weeks lost because a rent agreement or premises photograph did not meet expectations. |
| When a notice arrives | A professional drafts the reply in the department's format and files it within the statutory window, such as thirty days for ASMT-11. | You face departmental language alone, and a missed reply deadline can convert a simple query into a demand with penalty. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Annual return preparation | Monthly reconciliations roll naturally into GSTR-9, filed comfortably before 31 December with figures already agreed through the year. | Twelve months of unmatched data reconstructed in December, with differences discovered too late to be corrected cleanly. |
| Input tax credit | Purchase register matched against GSTR-2B each period, with defaulting suppliers chased so eligible credit is actually captured. | Credit claimed from books alone; mismatches with GSTR-2B mean lost credit or excess claims that invite departmental queries. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
Basha Avenue is a residential street in Egmore, about 450 m south-east of the centre of Egmore. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Adithanar Road (about 100 m); Koyyathoppu Street (about 200 m); Langs Garden Road (about 300 m); South Cooum River Road (about 400 m) — so a site visit on Basha Avenue can usually be combined with other work in Egmore on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Basha Avenue falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Egmore pincode is 600008.

Notification No. 06/2023-Central Tax · 2023-03-31
Where an officer had passed a best-judgment assessment order under Section 62(1) on or before 28 February 2023 because a taxpayer failed to file returns, the order was deemed withdrawn if the taxpayer furnished the valid return by 30 June 2023 (extended to 31 August 2023) along with interest under Section 50 and late fee under Section 47. The relief applied even where the 30-day statutory period to file the return had lapsed and no appeal had been filed against the assessment order.
What to do about it: An ASMT-13 best-judgment order is not the end of the road; filing the actual return within any notified window can wipe out the estimated demand entirely.
21st GST Council Meeting, Hyderabad — 9 September 2017 (PIB Release ID 1502268) · 2017-09-09
Faced with widespread filing difficulties, the Council approved a revised schedule for the first tax period: GSTR-1 for July 2017 to 10 October (3 October for taxpayers above Rs 100 crore turnover), GSTR-2 to 31 October, GSTR-3 to 10 November and GSTR-6 to 13 October. Table 4 of GSTR-4 was not to be filled for the July-September quarter and GSTR-4A was dispensed with. GSTR-3B was to continue for August to December 2017.
How we apply it: The invoice-matching return cycle of GSTR-1, 2 and 3 collapsed almost immediately, and GSTR-3B became the permanent monthly filing every Chennai business now does.
Circular No. 76/50/2018-GST dated 31 December 2018 · 2018-12-31
This circular answered a set of unrelated questions. The most important is that the penalty under section 73(11) does not apply where self-assessed tax shown in the return is paid late; only interest under section 50 and, where warranted, general penalty under section 125 arise. It also dealt with the rate applicable to notes issued under section 142(2) and who is the owner of goods in transit. A corrigendum of 7 March 2019 clarified that tax collected at source under the Income-tax Act is not included in the taxable value.
Why this matters: If a demand adds a heavy penalty simply because GSTR-3B tax was paid late, this circular is the answer.
