Moolakadai Junction, where Erukkancheri High Road meets Madhavaram High Road and the Madhavaram - Red Hills Road under the Moolakadai flyover, is a wholesale and haulage node feeding the Madhavaram fruit market and the MTC terminus. Vegetable and fruit commission agents, lorry operators, tyre and spare shops and cement dealers here wrestle with exempt produce alongside taxable commission, reverse charge on freight and ITC apportionment. For businesses here, staying on the right side of GST is not optional — buyers check compliance, and the department's systems match every return. Our firm provides GST Health Check to clients across Moolakadai and neighbouring Madhavaram and Erukkanchery, combining Chennai jurisdiction familiarity with disciplined deadline tracking. Whether you run a shop, a service practice or a growing trading concern, we handle the portal work so you can stay focused on the business itself.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Moolakadai through each of these so month one starts correctly.
Your sales figures, supplier lists and login credentials are handled only by our engaged team, stored securely and never shared with any third party. Many of our clients in Moolakadai compete with each other; complete confidentiality is a condition of our work.
Freight paid to transporters, advocate fees, imported services and other notified supplies attract GST under reverse charge, with self-invoicing where the supplier is unregistered. We maintain a running RCM check every period, because this is the liability self-filers most consistently miss.
Goods sent to job workers must move on delivery challans, return within the statutory period, and be reported in ITC-04. We track every outward and return leg for manufacturing clients in Moolakadai, so inputs sent out for processing never quietly convert into a deemed supply carrying tax and interest.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Moolakadai business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
You are told the full fee before we begin, in writing. No surprise additions for uploads, revisions or acknowledgements. Government fees and taxes, where applicable, are shown separately, so businesses in Moolakadai always know exactly what the engagement costs them.
We agree the review period, collect returns, registers and financial data, and take read access to your portal account for ledger and notice checks.
All returns are tested against each other and against book turnover, surfacing the same mismatches that departmental analytics would flag in scrutiny.
Credit claimed is verified against GSTR-2B and screened for blocked categories, while expense ledgers are examined for reverse charge liabilities not discharged.
Each gap is documented with the periods affected and the tax, interest and penalty exposure quantified, then risk-ranked from critical to advisory.
You receive the written report in a review meeting, with a practical correction plan covering future-return amendments, DRC-03 payments and supplier actions.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-5 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Large buyers check vendor GST compliance before releasing payments and renewing contracts. A clean filing record with timely GSTR-1 uploads keeps your invoices reflecting in their GSTR-2B and your payments unblocked.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
Consistent, reconciled returns give the department's matching systems nothing to flag. Clients who move to us after years of self-filing typically see scrutiny queries and mismatch notices fall away within a few filing cycles.
Illness, travel or a family function no longer threatens a deadline. With a standing external process holding your calendar and data trail, filings proceed on schedule whether or not you are at your desk.
Getting IGST versus CGST and SGST right at the invoice stage spares you the painful cycle of paying the correct head again and pursuing a refund of the amount paid under the wrong one.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Keeping up with changes | Rate changes, portal updates and new thresholds such as the Rs.5 crore e-invoice limit are tracked by us and applied to your case proactively. | Changes are discovered after the fact — often through a rejected filing, a blocked e-way bill or a departmental letter. |
| Due-date tracking | A maintained compliance calendar with internal cut-offs days before the 11th and the 20th; we chase you for data, not the other way around. | Deadlines remembered from memory or phone alarms; one busy week and the return slips past the due date. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
We track every notification, circular and judgment that changes a filing position, so your returns and replies reflect the current law.
Notification No. 2/2023-Compensation Cess (Rate), dated 31 March 2023 · 2023-03-31
Following the Finance Act, 2023 amendment to the Compensation Cess Act, the cess on pan masala, gutkha, chewing tobacco, zarda and similar products stopped being charged as a percentage of transaction value and became a specific levy computed on the declared retail sale price per unit, with effect from 1 April 2023. Pan masala, for example, moved from an ad valorem rate to a rate expressed as a proportion of retail sale price, a change designed to defeat undervaluation in the tobacco trade.
Practical effect: Tobacco and pan masala dealers must print and track retail sale price per pack, since the cess is now computed on that figure rather than the invoice value.
CBIC Frequently Asked Questions on GST on pre-packaged and labelled goods, dated 17 July 2022 · 2022-07-17
A day before the change took effect, the Tax Research Unit issued FAQs explaining that the expression takes its meaning from the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and covers commodities intended for retail sale in packs of up to twenty-five kilograms or twenty-five litres that must bear statutory declarations. A single package above that limit is not covered, nor are packs supplied to an industrial or institutional consumer. Loose sale from a large pack by a retailer does not attract the levy.
How we apply it: A fifty-kilogram rice bag sold as one package stays outside the levy, but the moment it is repacked into labelled retail bags of twenty-five kilograms or less, five per cent applies.
Circular No. 187/19/2022-GST · 2022-12-27
Where a resolution plan is approved by the adjudicating authority under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and the government's claim is scaled down, the tax department cannot continue to pursue the original demand. The Board directed officers to give effect to the approved plan by issuing an intimation in FORM GST DRC-25 under Rule 161, reducing the demand in the recovery records to the amount admitted in the plan, and to close recovery proceedings for the balance.
Why this matters: If a Chennai company has come out of insolvency, insist on a DRC-25 intimation so that the old demand stops appearing in the recovery register and blocking registration or refunds.
