One WhatsApp message is how most of our client relationships began. Send yours today and have New GST Registration in Surapet handled end to end from Rs.1,499 — fee confirmed in writing first, documents straight from your phone, acknowledgement the day we file.
We serve businesses on and around Shanthosh Nagar Main Road — document pickup, in-person consultation at our Porur office, or fully online over WhatsApp.
Share your number — a senior GST consultant calls you back within 30 minutes.
Surapet Main Road and Water Canal Road link Puthagaram and Kolathur to the Chennai Bypass through a belt of small fabrication sheds, hardware and paint shops and provision stores that grew around Collector Nagar, Santhosh Nagar and Teachers Colony. Job-work units invoicing principal manufacturers in Ambattur routinely mishandle GST on labour charges, and composition-to-regular transitions are common as these workshops cross the turnover threshold. When businesses of this kind evaluate New GST Registration, the real question is not price alone but who answers when something goes wrong. We serve Surapet, Puzhal and Puthagaram on a standing commitment: responses within the same working day, senior scrutiny before every submission, and continued support if the department ever writes back on work carrying our preparation.
Not a bulk-filing portal. A senior consultant knows your file, your jurisdiction and your deadlines.
A registration cancelled for non-filing is not the end of the road. We bring the pending returns up to date, clear the dues and file the revocation application in REG-21 within the permitted window, restoring suspended and cancelled GSTINs to active status.
A new GSTIN comes with obligations nobody explains at approval — the invoice series rules, displaying the registration certificate and GSTIN at your premises, and the first return cycle. We walk new registrants in Surapet through each of these so month one starts correctly.
We work with Chennai GST ranges and circles every week, including the jurisdiction covering Surapet. We know how local proper officers examine registrations, what supporting documents they routinely call for, and how to present a file so it moves without repeated queries.
Tally, Zoho Books, Busy, marketplace reports, plain Excel or even a handwritten bill book — we take your data in whatever form your Surapet business already maintains it. You are never forced to buy new software or retrain staff just to become our client.
GSTR-1 requires four-digit HSN reporting for turnover up to Rs.5 crore and six digits above it, and a wrong code often means a wrong rate. We verify the classification of what you actually supply, so your invoices and returns rest on defensible codes.
GSTR-1 by the 11th, GSTR-3B by the 20th, CMP-08 by the 18th after each quarter — we maintain a compliance calendar for every client and start chasing your data well before the due date, so late fees never enter the picture.
You share PAN, Aadhaar, photographs, address proof and bank details over WhatsApp or email. We review each document against portal requirements and flag anything that could trigger an officer query.
We draft Form GST REG-01 with the correct business constitution, principal place of business, HSN or SAC codes and authorised signatory details, then share a summary for your confirmation.
The application is filed on the GST portal and we guide the authorised signatory through Aadhaar OTP authentication, which speeds up approval and usually avoids physical verification of premises.
We track the ARN daily. If the officer issues a notice in Form REG-03 seeking clarification, we draft and file the reply in Form REG-04 within the permitted time.
Once approved, we download your registration certificate in Form REG-06, help set up portal login credentials, and brief you on invoice format, return due dates and e-way bill obligations.
Send these on WhatsApp (+91 - 9600 606 444) and we take it forward the same day.
Timeline: 3-7 working days · No hidden charges · GST invoice provided
Practical outcomes our clients measure us by.
Late-fee waivers and amnesty windows notified by the GST Council are applied to your history within their deadlines, capturing reliefs that most businesses only hear about once the window has already closed.
Excess balances parked in the electronic cash ledger are identified during regular ledger reviews and either utilised against upcoming liability or claimed back as a refund, instead of sitting interest-free with the government.
Filed returns, challans, reconciliations and working papers are archived in order from day one. If an audit or departmental verification comes, your file is ready the same week, not assembled in a panic.
Interest on delayed GST payment runs at 18 percent per annum, which is costlier than most working capital finance. Timely computation and payment through our calendar keeps that meter permanently at zero.
We spot suppliers who stop uploading invoices or filing returns and alert you before their default becomes your blocked credit, letting you recover amounts or switch vendors while the exposure is still small.
With returns filed ahead of the statutory due dates every period, the Rs.50-per-day GSTR-3B late fee simply stops appearing in your life, and the money stays in your business where it belongs.
| Aspect | With ChennaiGST | DIY / Unattended |
|---|---|---|
| Time cost | Roughly an hour a month to send data and approve drafts; the portal work, reconciliation and follow-up are ours. | Hours every month lost to portal errors, JSON files, OTP failures and reworking figures — usually on the due date itself. |
| Refund claims | RFD-01 filed with complete statements and annexures, tracked from ARN to bank credit, with any deficiency memo answered promptly. | Incomplete claims bounce back as deficiency memos while the refund sits unclaimed for months and working capital stays blocked. |
| Supplier defaults | Suppliers who stop uploading invoices are identified within the period and pursued before their default becomes your blocked credit. | Missing supplier invoices surface only when credit is denied, by which time recovering the amount from the vendor is difficult. |
| Late fees and interest | Filings go in ahead of statutory dates, so the Rs.50-per-day late fee and 18 percent interest never arise. | Late fees accumulate silently every delayed day, and interest on unpaid tax runs at 18 percent per annum. |
| Record keeping | Every return, challan, acknowledgement and working paper archived in an organised folder, retrievable in minutes years later. | Documents scattered across email, downloads and old phones; assembling records for a bank or an audit takes days. |
| Goods in transit | E-way bills generated correctly and matched to invoices, so consignments pass roadside inspections without detention or penalty. | A defective or missing e-way bill can mean detention at a checkpoint, with penalties that dwarf the tax on the consignment. |
Shanthosh Nagar Main Road is a main connecting road in Surapet, about 2.0 km south-east of the centre of Surapet. The same consultant covers the streets immediately around it — Annai Theresa Street (about 50 m); Egappan Naichan Street (about 150 m); Singaravelan Nagar Main Road (about 200 m); Kadappa Road (about 300 m) — so a site visit on Shanthosh Nagar Main Road can usually be combined with other work in Surapet on the same trip. For GST purposes an address on Shanthosh Nagar Main Road falls under the Chennai North CGST Commissionerate, and the Surapet pincode is 600066.
Road classification and position from OpenStreetMap; distances are straight-line and approximate. Jurisdiction must be confirmed on your own registration certificate.

Tata Consultancy Services v. State of Andhra Pradesh — Supreme Court, (2005) 1 SCC 308, judgment dated 05-11-2004 · 2004-11-05
The Court examined whether canned or branded software sold on floppies and discs could be taxed as goods under sales tax law. It held that the term goods covers all types of movable property, tangible or intangible, provided the item can be abstracted, transmitted, transferred, delivered, stored and possessed. Branded software satisfies that test and is goods, even though the intellectual content is intangible. Customised software developed for a single customer stands on a different footing.
Why this matters: Chennai software and IT product businesses should classify off-the-shelf licences separately from bespoke development, since the goods or services character drives the rate, the place of supply and the e-invoice treatment.
Notification No. 38/2017-Central Tax (Rate) dated 13.10.2017 · 2017-10-13
Responding to widespread compliance difficulty, this notification amended Notification 08/2017-Central Tax (Rate) to remove the daily Rs 5,000 limit and exempt all intra-State supplies of goods or services received by a registered person from an unregistered supplier from tax under section 9(4), up to 31 March 2018. In effect it suspended the unregistered-purchase reverse charge entirely rather than merely raising the threshold.
Practical effect: Chennai businesses have not had to pay reverse charge on ordinary purchases from unregistered vendors since 13 October 2017, and the suspension was repeatedly extended before becoming permanent.
41st GST Council Meeting (video conferencing) — 27 August 2020 · 2020-08-27
The 41st meeting was convened with a single agenda item, GST compensation to states and union territories, after collections collapsed during the pandemic. The Centre placed before the Council two borrowing options for meeting the compensation shortfall for 2020-21: a special window facilitated by the Reserve Bank of India for the portion of the shortfall attributed to GST implementation itself, or market borrowing of the entire estimated shortfall by the states, in both cases serviced from future compensation cess collections. States were given a short period to convey their choice.
How we apply it: The borrowings arranged here are why compensation cess continued to be collected on cess goods long after the five-year compensation period ended in June 2022.
